Description:
Leaving behind that which no longer suits my life and venturing forth into unchartered waters in search for new shores offering a greater life and life opportunities. The painting is an expression of overcoming challenges and changes that will come with this transformative journey.
The early expressive acrylic brushed under painting is then built open using acrylic mediums until a composition has been determined. Then worked on with cold wax mixed with neat oil paints to add texture and deeper colour, applied with a palette knife. The painting is then built up in layers of body colour and cold wax, left to dry then worked over with glazes using brush and palette knife.
